The Golden Nest - A Summer Threshold Women's Retreat

The Invitation

This is no ordinary retreat. The Golden Nest is a rare opportunity for self-cultivation from the inside out, held by two experienced practitioners who want you to feel supported and cocooned. Golden time to yourself, in nature, to go deep, to socialise, to move with flow and to softly heal. There will be practices shared that you can carry home from the gilded nest in Wales into your own world and future.

We're gathering right on the doorstep of summer 2027, in the middle of the Year of the Fire Goat, which brings an energy of calmness, creativity and kind heartedness. It's the moment the old Celtic fire of Beltane meets an equally ancient turning point in the Chinese calendar, Grain Rain, the last burst of spring showers before summer's warmth truly arrives. These ancient wisdoms show us the more we align with nature's rhythms, the greater the opportunity to reconnect with our own body and our own natural healing processes.

The Setting

The Golden Grove with ten acres of rewilded Welsh countryside, vast meadows, oak woodland and forest trails to wander. Deer, red kites, owls and songbirds for company. You'll be held, quite literally, by the land itself and her embrace.

A fire pit, wood fired sauna, hot tub and cold plunge to energise, revive and relax as you move through the weekend.

Your Hosts

Lynda Gillingham

I’m a compassionate, intuitive and highly experienced coach and complementary therapist who can help you discover the deeply buried version of yourself you know to be true. Much like a butterfly opening its wings in transformation, I will help you to shift your current reality, emerge majestically into the world and live a joyous, empowered and fully connected life.

How do I do that? By tuning in and working intuitively with you to personalise your treatment, whether you are in a 1-2-1 or group setting. Drawing from my experience in career and transformational life coaching, hypnotherapy, regression therapy, inner child healing, reiki, sound healing, spiritual aromatherapy and akashic records reading, I weave in the best modalities to give you optimum results.

Lucy Humphries

Lucy is a fully certified, licensed, and insured Acupuncturist who owns a private practice “Appleyard Acu” providing East Asian Medicine; Acupuncture, Fire Cupping, E-Stim, Ear Seeds & Gua Sha. Lucy is a member of the Acupuncture Association and is affiliated to the Acupuncture Federation. The treatments Lucy provides are designed and delivered to meet the lifestyle and needs of modern people. In addition to her 1:1 work Lucy also provides treatments to groups at events and festivals.
