emShakes does more than just Shakespeare! We produce adaptations, student written work, and re-envisioned productions of classical works. We provide opportunities for Emerson students to challenge outdated notions of classical theatre and to create art for a 21st-century audience by confronting problematic ideas and involving diverse perspectives.
