The End-of-Life Doula International Research Group (EOLD-IRG)

We are a collective of diverse individuals interested in developing a collaborative approach to research relevant to end-of-life doulas across national and international boundaries.

Events list

The End of Life Doula International Research Group is comprised of researchers, some of whom are also practitioners, in the field of end of life doula work. Every year this group offers information regarding end of life doula-related research, and brings together researchers and those interested in the field for a themed symposium showcasing the best and most up to date research and data in the field.

Our aims are to create a consensus-driven international research agenda, connect a network of researchers and those interested in research, and to generate and distribute free resources that support end-of-life doulas’ capacity to be meaningful agents of social change while also promoting a diversity of voices and perspectives in dying, death, and bereavement.

To assist with sustainability and inclusion, not every year's event will be in-person, but a virtual gathering. In a spirit of equity pricing is also offered with a view to global access for those not in the Western English-speaking world.
