EngBio Forum
The Engineering Biology Forums are a series of talks exploring key tools for the future of engineering biology and biotechnology. Hosted by the Engineering Biology Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge, the forums will take place 5pm-8.30pm at the Old Divinity School, St. John's College Cambridge. Keynote lectures and discussion session will be followed by food, drinks and networking.
Programming Biology
Registration is now open for our next Engineering Biology Forum on Tuesday 26 November. We are delighted to be welcoming keynote talks from pioneering synthetic cell biologist Prof Kate Adamala, and renowned plant biologist Prof Sean Cutler. Together they will be exploring how we can programme biology, from engineering plant phenotypes to building cells from scratch. The talks will be followed by a drinks reception, canapés and networking.
Professor Kate Adamala, University of Minnesota. Life but not alive: the biology of synthetic cells
Professor Sean Cutler, University of California, Riverside. Programmable plants: engineering chemically regulated switches for dynamic control of plant phenotypes
