Make A Piece Of Unique Silver Jewellery

In this one-off class you will learn the basics of jewellery making in order to create your very own piece of silver jewellery, it is a fun and relaxed class suited to total beginners or improvers. Light refreshments will be provided.

There is a choice of 8 different types of jewellery to make in the class, I've listed a short description and photo of each below.

• Stacking rings - A set of three slim rings with different complementary textures. 

• Single Larger ring - A thicker ring with the option of adding texture and stamping letters. 

• Bangle - A full circle or oval bangle, with the option of texturing.

• Cuff - A solid open bracelet to be put on over the wrist rather than the hand, with the option of texturing and stamping letters. 

• Wax Carving - A 3D ring or pendant which you will carve in wax to be cast in silver. It will be returned to you a few weeks later as a ready to wear totally unique piece of jewellery. 

• Stone Set Ring or Pendant - A textured silver bezel set ring or pendant. We will first practice texturing techniques on copper before applying this to your silver plate, then you can choose from a range of semi-precious stones and learn how to set it on your piece.

The class starts at 1pm on the dot so it would be good to turn up a five minutes earlier to get yourselves settled in and we can make you a cuppa! The class runs until 3:30pm but on occasion some people take a little longer, if you need to get away at 3:30pm please let us know in advance and we can give you a little extra help if necessary.

The workshop takes place upstairs so if you have any trouble with stairs, please arrive a little earlier and let us know, we’ll be happy to help.
