'Beginners Guide To Crochet' 2 week workshop

Ready to start crochet with confidence? Our two-session 'Beginners Guide To Crochet' Bootcamp is designed to give you everything you need to hit the ground running. With guided teaching, hands-on practice, and expert support both in-person and virtually, you'll finish the course feeling confident enough to crochet projects of your own!

Perfect for beginners and people who've learnt the basics but lack the confidence to take on bigger projects, this relaxed and friendly course breaks everything down step by step across two two-hour sessions. There's also an optional WhatsApp group, where you can share progress, ask questions and get remote support from your tutor, Faith. The group will stay open until one week after the final class!

The fee includes your place at both in-person sessions, the optional WhatsApp group, and all the materials you'll need to get started.

Session One – The Foundations (Sunday 24th January, 1–3pm)

In the first class, you'll learn the single, double and treble crochet stitches ~ the essential building blocks of crochet. We will then start to create a practice swatch.

You'll receive a ball of yarn and a crochet hook to take home, so you can practise as much as possible in the month between the sessions. There will be a prize for the longest swatch! 🏆

Session Two – Skills & Next Steps (Sunday 21st February, 1–3pm)

The second class begins with a review of your swatches, including troubleshooting and problem-solving any common beginner issues. You'll then learn how to combine these stitches to create countless beautiful patterns, how to read and choose crochet patterns and how to choose the right yarn for your future projects!

All attendees will also receive 10% off all crochet and knitting supplies from ENKI, Kings Heath. 🧶

It makes a lovely Christmas present, and gift vouchers are available.

Good to know:

• Both sessions start at 1pm on the dot, so it's worth arriving five minutes early to get settled in, and we can make you a cuppa.
• The workshop is upstairs. If you have any trouble with stairs, please arrive a little earlier and let us know, and we'll be happy to help.
• If not enough people book, we'll move you to another date or give you a full refund. Can't make it? You're welcome to send a friend in your place.
