About the Summit
The 2026 TTC Battery Safety Summit will take place May 19–20 in Pueblo, Colorado, at Colorado State University Pueblo, with a live battery fire demonstration at the USDOT Federal Railroad Administration's Transportation Technology Center (TTC).
This two-day, safety-focused Summit convenes federal agencies, operators, emergency response leadership, standards organizations, researchers, and industry partners to examine the safe integration of battery systems across transportation.
Unlike a traditional conference, the Summit is structured around facilitated breakout workshops designed to identify real-world safety gaps and surface actionable solutions.
