Workforce Development Training for Shortline and Passenger Railway Professionals at TTC
The Transportation Technology Center (TTC), operated by ENSCO, invites shortline and passenger railway professionals to participate in a specialized workforce development training program funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s CRISI Grant.
This free, three-day course examines the complex relationship between wheels and rail. Participants will study contact mechanics, friction management, metallurgy, and vehicle-track dynamics. Classroom sessions focus on wheel and rail profiles, corrugation, and other practices, while afternoon field demonstrations allow attendees to measure and assess wheel–rail interaction performance.
