Entangled Histories

Borders and Cultural Encounters from the Medieval to the Contemporary Era

Online Seminar Series

Welcome to the official ticket office of the Entangled Histories seminar series.

Entangled Histories is an interdisciplinary project that explores borders not only as lines of separation, but as dynamic spaces of interaction, negotiation, and cultural creativity. Our series brings together global perspectives from history, literature, media studies, and anthropology to examine how boundaries (geographical, linguistic, and symbolic, among others) shape the human experience.

From medieval cartography to contemporary migration and transnational media, we investigate the "contact zones" where traditions meet, conflict, and transform.

Our Mission

By adopting a long chronological perspective (from the Middle Ages to the present) we aim to foster an inclusive academic space that rethink borders as central to the study of culture, society, and communication. Our diachronic approach connects historical forms of bordering to the urgent questions of our globalised present.
