Politics with a small p: how can funders engage?
Politics with a small p: how can funders engage?
Need help?
Following on from the session held at EFN's retreat this May, we're keen to convene interested funders around the current state of UK environmental politics. In this session we'll be exploring:
- How can funders engage in "small p" politics? Where and how can we be more political?
- Which upcoming policies, projects and actions hold hope for securing environmental action?
In this session we'll begin with an overview of the opportunities for environmental change within the current parliament, followed by some insight from ECF on how they approach political engagement as a funder. Finally we'll try to take stock of the challenges funders face with political engagement, seeking to collectively shape what future convenings and learning sessions could look like on this topic.
To help us frame the discussions we'll be hearing from Amy Mount (UK Director) at ECF, as well as, Blanche Shackleton (Deputy Executive Director) and Sarah Williams (Deputy Director of Strategic Partnerships) from Green Alliance in this first session.
