Description
For Earth’s Sake - Reviving the lost tradition of Camping
Nature. The outdoors. Families together. Smiling children. Campfires, Star Speckled Sky. Sunshine (maybe that’s asking for a little too much)
What will my ticket cover?
- - Indoor accommodation if that option is chosen or Camping costs
- - All meals (7 meals: 2 x breakfast, 3 x lunch and 2 x evening meals)
- - All activities
- - All entertainment
So, we decided to put together our love for all things camping, scouts and outdoors and bring “For Earth’s Sake” to the community!
All activities, food, and health and safety assessments are all sorted. We’ve even tried to help families by limiting them having to invest in to much gear by having ample bunkbeds and indoor accommodations available!
We've taken the headache of catering and cooking away from you all and will provide 7 meals over the course of the weekend!
Ticket options & costs
There are two ticket options
Full details are here on https://equalinks.co.uk/accommodation/
1. Outdoor Camping - £75 but you need your own equipment. The activities are suitable for children over the age of 5 but under 5s can participate in some of the activities.
2. Glamping (outdoors) or Indoors - £120, minimum effort, all accommodation, mattresses and bedding included and you have three accommodation choices depending on your family size and needs.
The activities are suitable for children over the age of 5 but under 5s can participate in some of the activities. So come and join the adventure!
every participant including adults take part in all activities so if you ever had envy with the kids zip lining or crate staking, nows your chance to get involved.
There will have 4 zones, and activity timings will be split
Friday afternoon,
Saturday morning,
Saturday afternoon;
and Sunday morning.
The theme is Earth and the zones are
soil , Earth, woodlands (so expect lots of mud, getting hands on with nature and lots of dirt so barefoot walks, clay modelling etc)
water / oceans so land based water activities, to potentially a 20foot boat, indoor swimming to paddle sports.
air / atmosphere/ space : so family rocket making challenges, rockets, coded robotics sessions, reviving the sunnah of spotting the moon for Muharram, sleeping in hammocks etc
fire / volcanoes / mountains: so lots of bushscout activities from firelighting to toasting marshamallows, sunrise hikes, stories around the camp fire and so much more.
There will be sub-camps and we want the vibe of the event to be reconnection between families and wider in the community so you aren’t just in your normal hubs. It’s about making new friends, new connections and inshallah having lots of fun.
Food is included and I’m always keen that well fed children (and more importantly adults) are happy 🥰
Youth Groups can attend as groups. If there is a demand for this we will be looking at DBS cordoned off areas for groups to ensure there are no issues with scouts / youth group rules. However, if you are a group you may prefer to offer the camp to your families to attend as families allowing your leaders a well deserved break. Email nisbah@equalinks.co.uk for further details
