What is the Colloquium?
The annual Colloquium is a whole-day event where our PhD students, academic supervisors, industry partners, and stakeholders come together to hear about and discuss the latest findings in energy demand research, share knowledge, and network. 

Keynote speaker – Lynne McDonald, Head of Local Net Zero, UK Power Networks
Lynne McDonald joined the electricity industry in 2010 after graduating from the University of Strathclyde with a Master’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and has over 12 years’ experience in the development and deployment of technical, customer and commercial solutions to facilitate Net Zero. In her current role she is responsible for Local Area Energy Planning to facilitate the energy decarbonisation for 133 Local Authorities, a key accelerator to progress climate action plan ambitions.

What is ERBE?
ERBE CDT is the Energy Resilience and the Built Environment Centre for Doctoral Training, which delivers high quality doctoral training and research at the interface of the energy and buildings sectors. ERBE CDT focuses on the interactions between energy supply systems and buildings, and the need to create healthy and productive home and work environments to adapt to the urgent challenges of climate change.

ERBE is hosted by the UCL Energy Institute and the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering at Loughborough University together with MaREI - the SFI Research Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine Research and Innovation - the SFI Research Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine Research and Innovation co-ordinated by the Environmental Research Institute at University College Cork. ERBE is the successor CDT of LoLo.

ERBE CDT is supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and Science Foundation Ireland.
