Lucia H Chung works with the inherent noise and volatile feedback of the mixing console, collaborating here with Yumino Seki, whose Butoh practice uses the body, movement and somatic experience as material for performance.

Emilia Wysocka / nimb approaches sound as a generative system, probing contingent states where structured sonic objects briefly surface, mutate and dissolve.

Yumino Seki — Butoh

Yumino Seki (b. 1961) is a UK-based independent dance artist, Butoh practitioner and qualified somatic movement educator who performs, teaches and collaborates to make performances. Born in Japan, she has trained in both classical and contemporary dance.

Lucia H Chung / en creux

Lucia H Chung is a Taiwanese experimental noise artist based in London, performing and releasing music under the alias en creux. Her work explores the inherent noise within audio equipment through no-input feedback mixing, using the volatile and unpredictable behaviour of feedback as an improvisational and compositional strategy.

She has performed extensively across the UK, Europe, Asia and North America, including Lausanne Underground Film and Music Festival, Krama Festival, Lisboa Soa Festival, Sanatorium of Sound Festival, Festival Electropixel, Sonorities Festival, Through the Floor, Supernormal and Laking Sound Festival.

Poland-born, France-based conceptual artist and computational systems biologist Emilia Wysocka works primarily with no-input mixing boards, treating the instrument as a generative system. By misusing its fixed architecture, she probes contingent states where structured sonic objects briefly surface, then dissolve.

Serendipity is not incidental but methodological: art-making as a stance, an attitude, a practice of observation and a mediation of enactment.
