Whole Family Approach Induction (Early Help)
Wed 5 Feb 2025 09:00 - 14:00
Family Room, Hailsham Family Hub, Vega Close, Hailsham, BN27 2JZ
Description
This training is for any new practitioners or seniors (or anyone who requires a refresher) to provide the context of a Whole Family Approach and how it applies to Early Help. A Whole Family Approach is not a new concept, new assessment or process. It is a way of working. One that we know is essential to securing better outcomes for children, young people and adults.
Whole family working is the responsibility of everyone that works with children and families. In Early Help practitioners invest time with families to find out what they want to be different and help them understand why they are not reaching their goals. They complete an assessment and plan that meets the needs of everyone in the family. Taking a holistic approach considering health and wellbeing, housing, finance, relationships and school. Keeping the voice of the children at the centre of the work. The best outcomes can be achieved by practitioners and communities working together to support a family within their wider networks. Supporting families to sustain positive change after the professionals are no longer involved.
