☀️ As summer unfolds, join us for an intimate gathering to slow down, reconnect with familiar faces and make new friends, as well as enjoy each other’s presence 💐
This half day experience will begin with an optional lunch social, followed by a short walk. In the late afternoon, we’ll move into a private sauna session accessible only to ESEA Sisters. This session will invite us to soften, rest, and restore, allowing our body and mind to unwind in warmth and stillness.
This is a space for connection and mutual support. A space to gather, reflect and carry forward a sense of collectiveness into the season ahead.

Accessibility of event
Tickets will have an upfront cost of £12.50, which will go directly towards hiring the private sauna session, in which we’ve secured a discounted rate for ESEA Sisters.
How to pay: You will receive details of how to complete your payment in the confirmation email after you sign-up. Your space at this event is not guaranteed until payment is completed. We will hold your space for 24 hours after sign up, if payment is not received in that time your space will be released to the waitlist. We follow this process to make sure spots go to people who are committed to joining, keeping it fair for both attendees and the organisers putting the event together.
Solidarity tickets & travel bursaries: As part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to join us. If cost is a barrier, we have set aside a limited number of solidarity tickets for those who need a reduced rate (£0-10) to attend. If you need one, do email to us at eseasistersnaturewalk@gmail.com
How to estimate what you can pay:
£0-5: I frequently stress about meeting my basic needs and don’t always achieve them. I live in low-rent housing or have unstable housing. I am unemployed, underemployed or on benefits.
£6-10: I sometimes stress about meeting my basic needs but mostly achieve them. I have some expendable income and can sometimes save.
£12.50: I can comfortably meet all of my basic needs (food, housing, clothing and transportation) and have expendable income.
We’d really appreciate it if you could be honest with yourself and your financial situation. Please do not register for a solidarity ticket when you could afford the ticket price, it will make it harder for us to continue to subsidise costs for those who are truly in need of it.
Pay it forward: If you are in the position to do so, any extra contributions beyond the ticket price goes directly towards supporting future events. Your generosity will allow us to uphold our ESEA Sisters values to endeavour to keep our events accessible. Together, we can continue to build our community.
Staying true to ESEA Sisters’ core values and a volunteer-led collective, we aim to keep the majority of our events free and as accessible as possible. We appreciate your cooperation and support to keep this going. Any questions – do reach out via email.
Participation fairness
For our nature walks to run as smoothly as possible, we try to determine an appropriate ratio of walkers-to-organisers for each event, based on the complexity, terrain and activities involved. This is why spaces are limited.
To ensure as many members are able to join us as possible, do make sure that you’re available to join us upon sign up. Needless to say, please do not turn up on the day if you haven’t registered.
That said, we understand that life happens, and in the event that you can no longer join us, we’d really appreciate it if you can let us know as soon as possible and cancel your ticket (via the manage order function), so that those on the waitlist can pick up your spot.
Tickets are non-refundable, however we may be able to refund you if we are able to fill your spot with someone from the waitlist in good time.
What to bring with you and keep in mind
As always, terrain may get muddy due to weather, so please ensure you have appropriate footwear that you won’t mind getting dirty, and waterproof layers of clothing – just in case.
Please also ensure you bring snacks and water to stay nourished and hydrated. Note: it is recommended that you should not have a full meal within 2 hours of the sauna session.
- For the sauna, please bring:
Two towels - one for sitting on and one for drying.
Bathing suit
Flip flops
How we keep our walks safe
For each of our walks, we have routes mapped out with designated group leaders guiding the path ahead. We communicate via WhatsApp group chat to ensure the group is together and that everyone is okay.
We do not share details of the route on Instagram for safety reasons. Further information of the route and where/when we meet will be shared directly with you closer to the date of the walk.
By booking this event, you agree to your contact details being shared with ESEA Sisters for organising purposes.
At the beginning of our walk, we will be doing a short intro and check-in with the group, confirming the pace of the walk and frequency of breaks.
Dog companions: Due to the nature of this event, we must ask you to leave your 4-legged companions at home on this occasion.
*Remember this event is for East and South East Asian (ESEA) women, trans, non-binary, and queer folks only.
Photography and videos will be taken at this event. These may be used for future ESEA Sisters marketing, publicity, and fundraising, including but not limited to social media. We will be asking all attendees for their consent prior to the start of the walk, and there will be an opportunity to opt-out from this.
