Boutique Hostal La Curandera de Salinas
Description
In the heart of the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest, the self-declaimed HUNI KUIN people (meaning ‘true people’) are undergoing a process of cultural and spiritual REAWAKENING.
A RENAISSANCE STORY underscored by periods of persecution and genocide, since when they were hunted with dogs, captured, enslaved and forbidden to practice their culture. Through the cacophony of the forest we are invited to feel the enchantment that lives at the beauty and power of the HUNI KUIN everyday life. In these times of struggle for connection this story illuminates a path of ANCESTRAL REMEMBRANCE and harmony with the natural world that is universally essential.
In this feature film we are allowed to enter the magical HUNI KUIN territory and observe the unique nuances of their cultural revival.
Join the HUNI KUIN in their renaissance story through the Amazon and attend this screening with the director: A 7 years independent project deepening at the heart of the rainforest.
