Book Club Summer 2026 - Early Intermediate Level

We invite you to join us for Esperienza's online Italian reading program, a fun place to connect with local Italians from Romagna and other students, as we practice comprehension, speaking and listening in Italian. The program consists of 8 weekly 60-minute online group discussion sessions (using Zoom). Our groups are an excellent complement to formal classes or self-study programs.

This Esperienza Book Club program is for Early Intermediate Level (A2/B1) students. 

We will be reading “Mediterraneo - A Mystery Short Story" by Serena Capilli.  In addition to registering for the program, students will need to purchase the book, available in Paperback HERE and the Kindle version HERE

Each week will include reading the text aloud to practice pronunciation. We will also translate together and discuss possible problem areas in the text. Occasionally, there may be additional assignments to be done on your own, which we will discuss during our time together. There is a maximum of 15 students in the  group.

Proficiency level: This group is intended for Early Intermediate students (A2 or B1) in the Common European Framework of Reference). If you have any questions about your level, please contact our Program Director.
