Each November, we celebrate The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World. This year, Esperienza would like to invite you to celebrate with us in a one-of-a-kind village with a one-of-a-kind restaurant and a one-of-a-kind chef. Fly with us to the charming village of San Leo to honor sixty years of flavors and memories created at La Rocca restaurant.
It all began in October 1966, when mother Delia, father Alfredo (known to all as Guido), and their children laid the foundation. Over time, Ivo, Fabio, and Raffaele took up the baton and kept the family tradition alive, combining historic recipes with a few innovative touches.
Among the restaurant's signature dishes are passatelli with truffles and fresh homemade pasta, still prepared not only by hand, but done using a rolling pin. Over the years, their cuisine has maintained strong ties to its origins, so much so that another chef, Roberto Valbuzzi, has described La Rocca as the "guardian of tradition."
We will talk with Ivo, a lively and memorable host known to those who have eaten at La Rocca, who will share stories collected over their decades of serving the community, as well as prominent figures from the worlds of politics, culture, entertainment, and sports, from Boutros Boutros-Ghali to Umberto Eco, as well as international artists and celebrities like Bruce Willis, James Coburn, Andie MacDowell, and Danny Aiello.
Join us for a celebration of food and family!
