Earls Colne Visitor Centre Experience - public

You are invited to join us at our Earls Colne Visitor Centre for our Public Visitor Centre Experience hosted by our dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers. Our Visitor Centre Experience can accommodate up to 20 people and is free of charge, although we will share with you a variety of ways in which you can support the charity. Thank you if you have already raised money for us - We can't fly without you! 

The visit lasts up to two hours and includes a mix of films, narrative and interactive features in the room. Our Earls Colne airbase is home to one of our Augusta Westland 169 helicopters, which you will hopefully see, operations allowing. 

School holiday dates often attract more children and families, so attendees may wish to choose dates that best suit their preferences. Please note that our Visitor Centre Experience is not suitable for under 5s - thank you for your consideration in ensuring the visit is enjoyable for all, including older children.

Your visit will be hosted by volunteers who will be on-site especially to meet you. Therefore, please ensure you are committed to the date before booking. In the unlikely event you have to cancel, it is really important that you get in touch asap so we can let our volunteers know: Please email contactus@ehaat.org. Please note:

• You will be offered a drink. For a full range of refreshments, there is a cafe on the airfield.
• We have a gift shop and can take cash and card payments.
• We have accessible parking, and our site is wheelchair friendly.
• Visitor Centre Experience is at ground level, and we have accessible toilets.
• Our 999 Experience includes flashing lights and loud noise - tell your Host on arrival if this is an issue, and consider bringing ear defenders.
• For specific needs or requests, please email vicky.mcgowan@ehaat.org and jane.morton@ehaat.org, providing full information about your request.
• We are in the middle of an airfield, so you do need a car to reach us. Taxis can be taken from Marks Tey train station (a 15-minute drive away).
• For the comfort and enjoyment of all visitors, we kindly ask that children under 5 years of age do not attend the Visitor Centre Experience.
