Snuggle Dance

Touch is a basic human need. For many of us, especially outside of romantic partnership, it's a need that goes quietly unmet. Snuggle Dance is a facilitated evening for getting that need met directly: real, sustained, consent-forward touch, held in a safe container, without sexual energy attached to it.
This isn't a substitute for the connection you already have on the dance floor; it's a different kind of touch practice. Where partner and ecstatic dance give us touch that's brief and held inside the shape of a song, Snuggle Dance is about staying present with touch that lasts: asking clearly, listening for a real yes, and settling into contact without a beat telling you when to let go.
We'll teach and practice Micro Fusion — a partner dance style built around slow, responsive, consent-explicit connection. There will also be a facilitated consent based touch game to help us practice sharing & exchanging touch as we transition towards snuggles.

What to Expect:
6:30pm Doors Open
Arrival + settling in. Journaling paper, tea, and quiet seating available.
7:00pm Doors Close
Please arrive before doors close time. (Doors really do close, because the closed container sets the norms for the whole evening and it doesn't work to have people walking in partway through.)
7:00 – 7:30pm Container Setting + Discussion
Naming the need: where touch currently is, and isn't, showing up in your life (unmet / partially met / fully met, and where). A short note on how this differs from dance-floor touch: not more, not less, just held differently. Shared norms and consent basics for the evening.
7:30 – 8:15pm Practice: Micro Fusion
Guided teaching and practice of Micro Fusion partner dance – slow, responsive, consent-explicit connection.
8:15 – 10:30pm Open Time
Social dancing, cuddle space (indoors), and fire pit (outdoors). Facilitators present and circulating throughout both spaces.
10:30 – 11:00pm Closing (Optional)
Aftercare and wind-down for anyone who wants a soft landing before heading out. You can of course head out any time.
