British politics in crisis: Post-Brexit, how do we reclaim the soul of our country? - with Gavin Esler and Gina Miller
Mon 18 Mar 2024 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM GMT
Online, YouTube
Description
Brexit can be seen as part of a wider pattern of political decline - waning trust in politicians and institutions, erosion of standards in public life, the rise of populism and misinformation.
In this webinar, we'll hear from acclaimed journalist and author, Gavin Esler, whose recent book Britain is Better Than This explores what lies behind recent political failures, and pro-Rejoin political leader Gina Miller.
The discussion will cover what's gone wrong in recent years - but, more importantly, how we can revitalise our democracy as part of the long-term campaign for a renewed relationship with Europe. Dr Mike Galsworthy will be in the chair.
