Join us for the 8th annual Sir Julian Priestley Lecture which will be delivered by Jan Royall, Baroness Royall of Blaisdon and hosted jointly by the European Movement and the European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK.
In this year's lecture, Jan Royall, former Labour leader in the House of Lords (2008-2015), former Principal of Somerville College (2017-2025) and currently Chair of the Jo Cox Foundation will consider the impact of geopolitical changes in the world on the relationship between Britain and the European Union and the choices that it presents for the future.
The lecture will be chaired by Leena Linnus, Head of the European Parliament Liaison Office in the United Kingdom.
The Sir Julian Priestley Annual Lecture Series was established to commemorate the life of the former Secretary General of the European Parliament. All previous talks, including last year's given by Jonathan Freedland, can be accessed on the European Movement website at this link.
Please come from 5pm onwards for a prompt 5.30pm start.
The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception offered by the European Parliament Liaison Office.
