🌸🌼🌷 Join local calligrapher, Laura Edralin, and watercolour artist, Eve Leoni, for this special spring workshop, hosted with Stems & Vines on Saturday 17 May.

Explore floral blooms through two mindful art forms; learn the calming practice of calligraphy and the expressive style of watercolours!

Laura and Eve will be guiding you through a 2.5 hour spring-inspired workshop, with Philippa from Stems & Vines providing fresh floral arrangements to inspire us, plus a welcome drink on arrival!

During the workshop you will:

  • Explore the calming art of brush pen calligraphy - bring words to life with flowing, expressive strokes! ✍️

  • Enjoy the mindful medium of watercolours - learn the techniques to blend, layer, and paint with confidence! 🖌️

  • Combine your new skills to create a final, spring-inspired, hand painted and calligraphed, one-of-a-kind artwork! 🖼️

We're hosting two sessions, with limited tickets available at either:

1pm - 3.30pm - SOLD OUT

5pm - 7.30pm

Tickets cost £65 pp, and include a welcome drink, all your workshop materials and lots of goodies to take home! No materials required, everything will be provided. All creative levels welcome. For adults, 18+

🥂 We invite you to join us 15 minutes before the start time to settle in and enjoy a welcome drink. Fancy a bit more? Wines, flowers and deli boards will be available to purchase.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS

Eve Leoni is a local artist, originally from Cleethorpes in Grimsby. After moving to London to complete her degree in musical theatre, she rediscovered her love for painting as a form of therapy throughout lockdown. She sells original paintings and illustrated gifts all across the world, and loves creating theatre-inspired artwork for fellow performers and creatives in the West End.

Laura Edralin is a local calligraphy artist and teacher sharing ways to help people support their wellbeing and mental health using creativity and mindfulness, through the art of calligraphy. She offers public and private workshops, workplace sessions to help people get creative, and calligraphy services to provide a personal touch for events and more.

ABOUT THE HOST

Stems & Vines, created by Philippa Smith (formerly of Francis Smith flowers), is about making sure you can drink delicious wine, in a gorgeous environment, you feel safe, comfortable and relaxed in. With a background in wines and hospitality, and as a florist for the last six years, she's blending her two passions, flowers and wine in this ultimate new venture awaiting it's new home.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Opening its doors in 2024, Askew Gallery is a new art gallery on Askew Road in West London, offering a space to enrich the cultural community of Askew Road and it's surrounding areas. An initiative by Matt Hedges and Warren Hagues, partners at CP Architects, under their studio in a surprisingly light and large lower ground floor.
