Description
Join Haringey Climate Partnership First Meeting
Inaugural meeting on 16 May, 2024, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, in person at Green Rooms' Gallery Space, 13-27 Station Road, N22 6UW (opposite Wood Green Tube Station).
Haringey Council is excited to announce the launch of the Climate Partnership, a new initiative to foster collaboration between the council and the community in tackling the climate emergency.
The Climate Partnership grows out of Haringey's commitment to becoming a net zero carbon borough by 2041. Achieving this ambitious goal will require action across all parts of the council and the community. That's why we're creating a dedicated forum for residents, community groups, businesses and other local organisations to learn about the council's Climate Change Action Plan, share their own ideas and projects and work with us to develop joint solutions.
The kickoff meeting for the Climate Partnership will take place on 16 May. Participants will be introduced to the partnership and its objectives, hear an overview of the council's current climate actions and explore opportunities to get involved. There will also be interactive sessions to share motivations and existing projects, building connections for future collaboration.
The Climate Partnership embodies the council's commitment to work hand-in-hand with the community to meet the urgency of the climate emergency. We invite you to join us in this crucial endeavour. Together, we can build a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
