Everton FC Heritage Society social / talks evenings

We are pleased to announce the fifth event in our monthly series of social evenings featuring a talk or event related to our club's history, heritage, culture and community. [This new initiative has been introduced by members of the Everton FC Heritage Society, and in a full season will run from September to May on the first Thursday of every month in the function room of The Denbigh Castle, in Hackins Hey (off Dale Street), Liverpool].   It has been confirmed that these events will continue for next season - September to May.

Thursday 7 May 2026 - Double Header event featuring two separate talks, by two of our highly respected researchers and authors. 

Doors - 6.45pm for sit down at 7.15pm (note slightly earlier start time)

7.20-8.30pm - Peter Lupson - ‘The Everton player's health and fitness. Changing approaches across the years.’

Peter Lupson is a founder member of the society and a past vice-chairman.  He is the author of a number of school and university text books, as well as 'Across the Park: Everton FC and Liverpool Common Ground' and 'Thank God for Football!: The Illustrated Companion.'

9.15-10.15pm - Jamie Yates - 'James Prescott - Architect of the First Goodison Stadium'

Jamie has carried out an enormous amount of ground breaking research into the history of Everton Football Club and its players, and has published several comprehensive articles on the society website. His vast knowledge of Everton FC has been officially recognised by the club, following his appointment as a tour guide at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
