Everton FC Heritage Society Social / Talks - 'Remembrance - The Fallen of Everton FC'

Everton FC Heritage Society social / talks evenings

Our third event for the 2026/27 season in our monthly series of social evenings will focus on Remembrance, and specifically 'The Fallen of Everton FC.'   We will look at the lives and careers of some of the Everton players who fought in the First World War who did not return (we will feature WWII in a future meeting).   Our guest joining us for the evening is well-known sports author Spencer Vignes, whose book 'Lost in France' is a remarkable story of Leigh Richmond Roose, one of the most enigmatic footballers of his generation - and famous as a former Everton goalkeeper. Everton FC Heritage Society have also made a documentary about Roose based on Spencer's work.
