LAAMAR is the latest project led by Minneapolis-based singer, songwriter, saxophonist and composer Geoffrey Lamar Wilson, the former frontman of Brooklyn-based Jus Post Bellum. After unexpectedly bursting onto the scene in 2023 with his debut single “Home to My Baby,” LAAMAR has had a steady stream of in-demand performances and radio play across Minnesota. His engaging, humorous and often intensely hushed solo performances led to opening slots for notable touring artists, including Arlo Parks and Dan Wilson. The band's debut EP "Flowers" blends Wilson’s idiomatic inspirations, bridging folk, soul, R&B and country, with an ear toward racial and social justice issues and the shared human experience. LAAMAR’s debut full-length In The Light finds the artist writing through the lens of fatherhood, personal growth and self-discovery. Backed by his dynamic and sharp-eared band, which can evolve to include saxophone, cello and a rotating cast of guest vocalists, LAAMAR puts on a live show that is at once known to get folks dancing while alternatively leaving them in tears.

Everwood's Pay-What-You-Can ticket price is simple - choose your ticket price from the options provided. One-half of your ticket price will be provided to the artists and the other half will be distributed through Everwood's Aspiring Artists Fund. The Fund provides grants to arts-focused teachers in Barron, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties for projects that spark wonder and talent in their young, aspiring artists. Everwood reveals a recipient(s) at each performance. Since 2012, Everwood has donated over $60,000 to local school programs.

Each ticket will include a nominal booking "fee" (which pays for the ticket platform) and each transaction will include a "transaction charge" (which pays for the credit card fees). Tickets are transferable, but not refundable.
