Woodland family sessions focussed on allowing children and families to play together, to create a community of likeminded people who enjoy being outdoors in nature. Jo is the lead practitioner and owner of Everyday PLAY! She offers a Forest School approach mixed with outdoor play, allowing children to make their own choices and decisions, time to try new challenges such as learning to light the campfire, cook on the fire and use simple tools. There is a shallow stream on site, access to a slack line for balancing, a swing, hammocks or cargo net depending on the season. The mud kitchen is always out and ready for business and our regulars enjoy bug hunting, climbing on the trees and getting muddy!
Pasg... Hopefully its nice and warm now but we'll keep active making magic potions, a treasure hunt, digging, worm charming and much more! We're more focussed on free play during the holidays so bring your friends along and come and have fun!
Activities are suitable for children aged 2-12 years who enjoy playing outdoors. Dress warmly for the weather, lots of layers (you can always take them off if its warm!). Wellies are essential for children and adults! we have a little stream which we all love to paddle in and get our boots stuck!
£10 per child or 2 booked at the same time for £18.

What to bring and where to come!
We run from Cors Ian, a Nature Reserve owned by the Wildlife Trust for South West Wales.
The aim of these sessions are to get children and families active and outdoors. We do put up sheltered areas to keep us dry when its wet outside but please come dressed to play outside and wellies for access to the stream. Please remember to come ready for playing outdoors yourself, waterproof shoes, boots or wellies as well as a warm coat/ layers.
We have a full risk assessment of the site and activities to ensure your child's safety during the day.
We often cook snacks on the fire , please let us know if you have any dietary requirements on the booking form.
Directions to Cors Ian
DO NOT USE THE POSTCODE AND MAP BELOW TO FIND YOUR WAY TO CORS IAN, THIS WILL ONLY TAKE YOU TO LLEDROD VILLAGE- Instead use the directions below or this link to the car park,
Directions from Aberystwyth: From Aberystwyth take the A487 South. Just past Llanfarian, turn left onto the A485 through Llanilar to Lledrod. (In Llanilar, take the second exit at the new mini-roundabout in front of the Falcon Inn, to stay on the A485.) In Lledrod, turn left at the hairpin bend, signposted to Ystrad Meurig, and follow this road up through the village houses. Go up and round to the left, keep going for about 2 miles then take the narrow left turn at the blue ‘Brynarth Country Cottages’ sign to Trawsgoed/Crosswood, carry on down this road down the hill and look to your right hand side on a bend in the road for the car park to the reserve.
From Carmarthen and the South: follow the A485 to the north, go through Tregaron taking the left at the junction in the middle of the town, then look out for the steep descent into Lledrod and the hairpin left bend. Take the right turn immediately on the hairpin bend, signposted to Ystrad Meurig, and follow this road up through the village houses.
On the B4340 North from Pontrhydfendigaid: ignore any SatNav directions to turn left towards the river ford, this is not passable. Follow the road through Ystrad Meurig and look for the blue 'Brynarth Country Cottages’ sign directing you left. This road goes towards Lledrod but I don't think it is signposted. It you go through Tynygraig, you've gone too far
