This is usually a group for women who are interested in exploring the properties of plants and trees, being creative, cooking on the fire and using tools.

This session is for women to come along and enjoy all this with their children (if you want to! Come by yourself if you prefer). We will all be exploring the process of felting together and cooking something tasty on the campfire (weather dependant!).

Jo is the lead practitioner and owner of Everyday PLAY! She offers a Forest School approach mixed with outdoor play, allowing choice and decision making, time to try new challenges such as learning to light the campfire and use handtools for crafts and practical skills.

Generally, sessions are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month unless it coincides with a school holiday.

£12 per person or book or 2 places on the same session for £20.
If you want to block book for the next three sessions for £30, get in touch with Jo to arrange this via bank transfer

What to bring and where to come!

We run from Cors Ian, a Nature Reserve owned by the Wildlife Trust for South West Wales.

The aim of these sessions is to allow women the space to chatter and get creative outdoors. We do put up sheltered areas to keep us dry when its wet outside but please come dressed to play outside and wellies if its been wet, a warm coat/ layers is so important as it gets cooler.

We have a full risk assessment of the site and activities to ensure your safety during the day.

We will always cook on the fire (unless there is a fire risk in extreme dry weather), please let us know if you have any dietary requirements on the booking form to ensure everyone can join in with cooking and eating.

Bring a picnic or some snacks if you think you'll get hungry during the session as these ones are 3 hours long.

Directions to Cors Ian

DO NOT USE THE POSTCODE AND MAP BELOW TO FIND YOUR WAY TO CORS IAN, THIS WILL ONLY TAKE YOU TO LLEDROD VILLAGE- Instead use the directions below or this link to the car park,

Directions from Aberystwyth: From Aberystwyth take the A487 South. Just past Llanfarian, turn left onto the A485 through Llanilar to Lledrod. (In Llanilar, take the second exit at the new mini-roundabout in front of the Falcon Inn, to stay on the A485.)                                                                              In Lledrod, turn left at the hairpin bend, signposted to Ystrad Meurig, and follow this road up through the village houses. Go up and round to the left, keep going for about 2 miles then take the narrow left turn at the blue ‘Brynarth Country Cottages’ sign to Trawsgoed/Crosswood, carry on down this road down the hill and look to your right hand side on a bend in the road for the car park to the reserve.

From Carmarthen and the South: follow the A485 to the north, go through Tregaron taking the left at the junction in the middle of the town, then look out for the steep descent into Lledrod and the hairpin left bend. Take the right turn immediately on the hairpin bend, signposted to Ystrad Meurig, and follow this road up through the village houses.

On the B4340 North from Pontrhydfendigaid: ignore any SatNav directions to turn left towards the river ford, this is not passable. Follow the road through Ystrad Meurig and look for the blue 'Brynarth Country Cottages’ sign directing you left. This road goes towards Lledrod but I don't think it is signposted. It you go through Tynygraig, you've gone too far
