This blended training for visit leaders, delivered via zoom, is designed to equip staff with the key requirements to become a competent Visit Leader.
The course is delivered by an experienced Educational Visits Adviser.
Visit Leader Training is focused on active risk assessment and group management on educational visits and offsite activities and is primarily aimed at staff leading visits however it is open to all school/college staff.
Our VL training is principally delivered using a blended approach. Since March 2020 we have delivered our training via a two part remote blended approach, this was originally out of necessity, however the feedback we have received is this is the preferable method for our schools.

Our programme is made up of two parts.
Part 1 is a 1.5 hour self guided e-learning course, which can be undertaken at a time to suit the attendee.
Part 2 is a 1.5 hour live remote facilitated session run by one of our experienced trainers.
The course outlines key considerations in planning an educational visit and updates participants with current good practice in the supervision of young people. The session looks at strategies used for risk management and risk assessment offsite and will include:
TARGET AUDIENCE:
This course is aimed at new and existing Visit Leaders in all schools (maintained, Independent Schools, Foundation Schools, and Academies) where the employer has agreed that this is suitable.
Although many of the subjects are transferable, this course is not aimed at FE and HE settings.
CERTIFICATION:
Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the course.
