Since March 2020, EVOLVE Advice has provided all training via a remote approach. This was originally out of necessity, however delegate and school feedback has shown that this is the preferable method for many reasons:

It enables:

  • attendees to save on travelling time;
  • attendees to reduce their carbon impact;
  • schools to reduce costs on supply cover;
  • attendees to feel safe by not mixing with people outside of their immediate circle, thus reducing the risks associated with COVID;
  • us to be flexible with cancellation or postponement due to last-minute issues arising in schools;
  • us to keep the course fee lower.

This course will show Visit Leaders, Assistant Leaders and EVCs how to conduct a risk assessment using the STAGED approach.

Trainers

The course is delivered by one of our highly experienced Educational Visits Advisers, with professional level Health and Safety Qualifications, and practical experience of risk assessment and group management.

Why Choose Us?

As educational visits specialists, we focus on the critical aspects of planning, conducting, and managing educational visits. Our course content is regularly reviewed to ensure that it is up to date and in line with National Guidance, legislation changes, and current good practice. We have robust internal and external quality assurance systems in place, including an end-of-course assessment.

We have experience in training maintained schools, academies, employers and independent schools throughout the UK, Europe and internationally.

See our course feedback here.

This course is delivered in line with:

  • the Department for Education Guidance on Educational Visits (2018);
  • the ISI Commentary on the Regulatory Requirements 362 (2021);
  • OEAP’s National Guidance;
  • HSE School Trips Guidance.
