Risk Assessment for Educational Visits
Multiple dates and times
Online, Zoom
Description
Our Risk Assessment for Educational Visits training is accredited by the Institute for Outdoor Learning, and developed and overseen by OEAP Course Directors. It is delivered using a blended approach. The feedback we have received is this is the preferable method for our schools.
It enables:
- attendees to save time travelling;
- attendees to reduce their carbon impact;
- schools to reduce costs on supply cover;
- us to be flexible with cancellation or postponement due to last minute issues arising in schools;
- attendees to undertake the course from the comfort of their home, office or classroom - no more cold Village Halls or Scout Huts.
This course will show Visit Leaders, Assistant Leaders and EVCs how to conduct a risk assessment using the STAGED approach.
Our live online training courses are taught in real-time, allowing you to have a direct dialogue with our experts, a high level of interaction with the other attendees and lots of opportunities to ask questions - just as you would in a real classroom.
All you will need is an internet-connected computer, laptop or tablet with a webcam and microphone.
Before you book, you can check that you meet the Zoom system requirements and run a diagnostic test to ensure the software is compatible with your firewall settings.

The course is delivered by one of our highly experienced Educational Visits Advisers, with professional level Health and Safety Qualifications, and practical experience of risk assessment and group management.
