EVC Revalidation
Only available to those who have attended initial EVC Training within the last 3 years
EVC Revalidation Training is recommended for EVCs who have completed Initial EVC Training within the last 3 years. The course provides refresher training on the core elements of the role and covers changes in national guidance and good practice. It provides an important opportunity to reflect on your practice since completing your initial training and identify areas for future development.

Why do I need to complete revalidation training?
National Guidance recommends that EVCs renew their training every three years. This is important to ensure you are up-to-date with changes in national guidance and good practice for educational visits management.
How is EVC Revalidation Training delivered?
The live, facilitated revalidation training is delivered in a small group, online via Zoom. (3 hours)
Due to IQA and EQA requirements, you must have a working camera and microphone.
Who should complete EVC Revalidation Training?
This course is aimed at existing EVCs in all schools and educational settings (maintained, Independent Schools, Foundation Schools, Academies and alternative provision) in England and Wales who have completed Initial EVC Training or EVC Revalidation Training in the past 3 years. The employer must agree that this training is suitable.
Although much of the content is transferable, this course is not aimed at FE and HE settings.
What will I learn?
Learning outcomes:
- Updated knowledge of relevant guidance and current practice;
- Greater confidence and ability to act as the Education Visit Coordinator;
- Increased competence in risk assessing and managing risks on off-site visits.
What does the course cover?
EVC Revalidation Training is designed to revalidate and update existing EVCs with the key requirements to continue in the role of Educational Visit Co-ordinator.
The course provides refresher training on strategies used for risk management and risk assessment off site

Learners completing EVC Revalidation Training will be issued with:
- A digital certificate
- A digital badge
- A printed certificate
- A metal pin badge for your lanyard
