T36. Let the Body Reveal: Drawing and Collage with Lily Night
In this workshop, participants will engage in a therapeutic and experimental process based on automatic drawing, inspired by Surrealism and Dadaism. The session focuses on self awareness, emotional release, and healing through meditative, non judgmental drawing, where the body acts without external visual or linguistic references.Working with simple colors, shapes, and gestures generated from within, participants are encouraged to suspend self criticism and allow emotions to surface naturally. The intention is to observe how internal states can emerge visually without control or predefined meaning. In the second phase, participants will create collages combining their automatic drawings with photographic images, including personal photographs, found images, or digital media. This stage explores the relationship between inner experience and the external visual world.By merging self generated drawings with outside imagery, the process reflects on empathy, overload, and confusion in a media saturated environment. The workshop frames collage as a tool for negotiating emotional tension, using art making as a reflective and healing practice.
