LEGO Robotics Summer Camp
Tue 27 Aug 2024 10:00 AM - Fri 30 Aug 2024 2:30 PM BST
Tang Hall Explore, YO31 0HA
Description
Join us in this 4 day workshop to get creative, working in a team to build and program a LEGO Robot. Compete against other teams in a challenge to solve as many missions as possible. Explore how technology is used in everything from Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to theatre, films and live music performances. Can your robot get cameras into position, set the lighting and sound for an interactive performance or make sure a scene change runs smoothly? We’ll hear from real engineers and people working in the arts about how they use technology in their jobs.
No prior experience is needed, so whether you already have an interest in coding or would like to learn something new and have fun creating with LEGO, this club is for you! The price of the club is for all 4 days and includes lunch from the cafe each day. LEGO Camp takes place daily 10am until 2.30 pm from Tuesday 27th August until Friday 30th August.
This event is suitable for children age 11-14 years old, when booking please use an adults email address and phone number that we will be able to use as an emergency contact while the event is taking place.
