Description
An opportunity for families to experience part of York's incredible stained glass history and heritage by interacting with our wondeful J W Knowles & Sons archive collection. This crafting event allows kids to create their own stained glass inspired designs, working with talented local artist Griselda Goldsborough.
This event is suitable for ages 7+. Children should be accompanied by at least one adult and please book a ticket for each adult and child attending the event.
The 'Outside the Box' project involved graffiti artist, HazardOne, working with the Knowles family archive collections to repaint 12 BT exchange boxes on The Stonebow, York. Explore York Libraries and Archives, York Bid, York Civic Trust, and York Glaziers Trust came together on this project, to bring the city’s impressive and significant stained glass archives to life. This project was made possible by generous funding through the National Archives Engagement Grant.
