MemoryVerse Consultation

About the Event

Explore York Libraries and Archives in partnership with Bright White and Nomad Games, have created a next generation prototype digital engagement tool called the MemoryVerse. Using immersive Virtual Reality (VR) technology we have created the MemoryVerse, to enable you to discover and enjoy material from our archive collections as well as engaging with your community’s collective memory in a radical new way.

We are putting the call out for you to help is in this second consultation phase of the development process. We are looking for York residents to help us in the development of this archive story-telling tool by coming along, having a go, and offering us your feedback and insights. You will have the opportunity to explore York in a completely new way by putting on a headset and stepping in to the MemoryVerse.

Each session will be up to one hour in duration, with 45 minutes spent in the immersive world of York’s MemoryVerse, and with 10-15 minutes time spent offering feedback on your experience.
Each timeslot is available for one person at a time only, however if you do suffer from a visual impairment feel free to bring along a buddy. This VR consultation has been designed to be accessible as both a standing and as a seated experience.
