Make your own Bird Library!

Make your own Bird Library to take home with you. 

Even birds need a library – somewhere safe and cosy to chill out. Join us and build your very own Bird Library! Decorate it to personalise it. Take your bird library home, put it in an outdoor space and wait to see who comes to check in! 

This craft activity is aimed at children aged 5+ It forms part of our celebration of Great Big Green Week and encourages children think about nature and the environment. 

A lack of natural nesting sites can limit the size of bird populations. Putting up nest boxes provides nest sites for cavity or hole-nesting birds. Nest boxes help maintain and increase the numbers of some rare or threatened species.

You can help them by building a bird library for your garden or outside area.
