Performed by Brian Oxberry and The Maltberry Players
Join us for a wonderful afternoon of theatre as local legend (and renowned Dickens enthusiast) Brian Oxberry returns to perform one of his plays (written himself!), accompanied by The Maltberry Players
The year is 1948. The second world war had ended only three years before but food rationing and shortages of everything is still going on. Nevertheless, life is getting back to normal and three different couples have booked a week’s holiday at the L’Hotel D’Amour’ in Scarborough. Upon arrival they meet the redoubtable landlady, the fearsome Mrs Potter. What follows is a week unlike any other for the couples and Mrs Potter.
