National Poetry Day Eve: York Stanza Showcase

Members of York Stanza will read their poems at our special National Poetry Day showcase, with the line-up curated by much-loved local poet Carole Bromley.

Join us for a warm and welcoming evening of poetry from a diverse and talented group of writers. This year's National Poetry Day theme is Wonder, and our poets will share work that delights, surprises and inspires.

The event takes place in the lovely oak-panelled Marriott Room at York Explore, with a bar available on the night.

We keep our events free or low cost to enable everyone to attend. When booking, if you're able to make a donation, it will help support Explore's costs and enable us to continue running events like this.

Since 1994, National Poetry Day has encouraged millions of people to discover, share and enjoy poetry through events and activities across the UK.
