Development Language Disorder (DLD) is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition that affects 7% of the population, around 2 children in every UK classroom. It's at least as common as autism or ADHD - so why haven't more people heard about it?
In this talk, timed to coincide with DLD Awareness Day, Hannah Hobson will introduce DLD, current theories about its causes, and examine why it remains so unrecognised.
Hannah is a senior lecturer in Psychology at the University of York, where she conducts research on language abilites and mental health with her group, the EMERALD Lab.
