Stories Unleashed: Fairytale Gardener by Catherine Jacob at York Explore

Stories Unleashed is supported by Libraries Connected as part of the National Year of Reading.

Discover the latest Fairytale Land story with the fabulous children's writer Catherine Jacob, author of the much loved Betsy Buglove series, as she reads from her latest picture book Fairytale Gardener.

Join Fairytale Gardener and her sidekick puppy on their adventures as they visit fairytale friends who need their green-fingered help! After the story, children can enjoy a simple themed craft activity inspired by the book.

This session is aimed at children age 2-6 years old

*** Each family attending will receive a free signed copy of Fairytale Gardener (whilst stock lasts!) ***

PLEASE NOTE: This event will be held in the Children's Library. Seating will primarily be on the floor, with a limited number of chairs available. If floor seating may be difficult for you, please contact us or speak to staff on arrival.

Please note our supervision requirements: 8s and Under must have an adult with them at all times during the session. Ages 9–10 need an adult to stay in the library building during the session and to be on hand to support the child if needed. Ages 11 + can take part in sessions independently but will be unsupervised by library staff.  Thank you for helping us keep our activities safe.
