| This event is part of Stories Unleashed, a half-term festival at York Explore celebrating creativity, characters and imagination. Through performances, crafts, author events and storytelling, this programme brings stories to life and offers fun, interactive experiences for children and families, whether they're avid readers or simply looking to try something new. Stories Unleashed is supported by Libraries Connected as part of the National Year of Reading. To celebrate the release of Gruffalo Granny, join us for a fun-filled craft session inspired by the world of The Gruffalo! This drop-in activity gives little ones the chance to bring their favourite characters to life, from Mouse, Fox, Owl and Snake to the Gruffalo himself. Get creative, enjoy some crafty fun, and make your own Gruffalo-inspired creations to take home. This session is aimed at children age 3-8 years oldPLEASE NOTE: This event will be held in the Children's Library and is a drop in activity between 11.30am and 1.30pm. There will be some tables and chairs set up but if it's busy then additional seating may be on the floor. If floor seating may be difficult for you, please speak to staff on arrival. Please note our supervision requirements: 8s and Under must have an adult with them at all times during the session. Ages 9–10 need an adult to stay in the library building during the session and to be on hand to support the child if needed. Ages 11+ can take part in sessions independently but will be unsupervised by library staff. Thank you for helping us keep our activities safe. |
