Face Addiction Now and Michigan HIDTA are bringing a special, one-day professional training to the HIDTA office in Southfield — built for the officers who encounter substance use disorder on the job every day.
The day opens with a Drug Trends briefing from HIDTA Drug Intelligence Officer Bob Kerr — a direct read on what's moving through Michigan right now, from the officer who tracks it. From there, the day covers three FAN-led topics focused on what's actually working when engaging people living with SUD: Deflection & Diversion Strategies, Motivational Interviewing, and Building Bridges: Harm Reduction in Police Work.
Attend the full day and earn 6 CPE credits through MCOLES — one full day of training, no cost, lunch provided.
This is a special offering outside FAN's regular training schedule, and seating is limited. Register early — seats will go quickly.
