Humanities Exploration Day 2025- Bradford
Humanities Exploration Day - 9th Dec 2025
The School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Cambridge is hosting a Humanities Exploration Day for Year 12 students on the 9th December 2025 at New College, Bradford. The aim is to give students the opportunity to experience university-level teaching in a range of humanities subjects, to enrich their current studies and to help them decide which subject might be the best choice for them going forward.
The event will run from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Who is the day for?
The day is aimed at students in Year 12 interested in subjects that explore themes such as ancient and modern worlds, languages, philosophy, ethics, literature, history, and culture. They may be interested in pursuing a subject like English, History, Classics, Archaeology, or Languages at a selective university, but would like more help deciding which is the right subject for them.
We also welcome applications from higher attaining year 11 students who are planning to study Arts and Humanities A-levels.
There is no minimum or maximum group size for school groups, but places are limited and we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate all applicants. Each student will need to be registered separately.
Priority will be given to UK State Schools or FE Colleges as well as students who meet our widening participation criteria.
What will I see and do?
Attendees will enjoy taster lectures that cover a whole range of Humanities subjects and sessions on applying to study a humanities degree and humanities-based careers.
How do I apply?
Places are free but you must register in advance. We are now operating on a first come first served basis.
