Take 2
Take 2 builds on the unintended impact of the Burdett Trust-funded Using comedy to co-produce a cancer prevention and awareness training tool addressing cultural barriers that influence engagement with NHS breast screening programme among South Asian women which over the course of the last 6-months has brought together 42 South Asian women with and without lived experience of breast cancer and a creative team led by professional comedian Sajeela Kershi.
Through laughter and honesty these women have shared deeply personal experiences, challenged stigma and found strength in one another. Take 2 celebrates the journeys of these remarkable women and the powerful stories they have shared. It is a heartfelt celebration of their journeys - their voices, their resilience, and the stories that deserve to be heard.
Please note that this event is open to those over 18 years only. There will be free parking and refreshments available at the venue.
