Lights On (Webinar)
Helping churches shine light into their communities this Halloween
Live webinar session on 14th July 1.15-1.45pm via Zoom
This Halloween, we would love to see churches move from locked doors to open hearts, engaging with their communities.
At the end of October, our neighbourhood streets are full of families, knocking on doors and looking for connection. Is there any other time when families come knocking on your door? Often, our response has been to turn the lights off. But what if we saw Halloween not as a cultural threat, but as a massive missional opportunity?
Join us for Lights On, a practical, inspiring webinar designed to help churches step out and into communities. We’ll discuss how some in our churches can shift from a mindset of avoidance to one of engagement, and share creative, actionable ways our churches can be the brightest light.
In this webinar, we will explore:
The missional shift: Why Halloween is the easiest night of the year to be out in our communities sharing the good news of Jesus
Theological care: Navigating the tensions of Halloween in our churches with wisdom, grace, and theological clarity
Hosting and hospitality: Creative ideas for families and churches to engage and bless trick-or-treaters (beyond just handing out sweets)
Creating connection: How to turn a brief doorstep interaction into a meaningful invitation
In this session we will also be sharing the fantastic range of resources that we have on offer to equip and support you in your Halloween efforts this season.
Our Ministry Director, Ed Drew, will be joined by Nay Dawson (Founder, Passion for Evangelism) and Rachael Heffer (Head of Mission, Evangelical Alliance).
