Do you work with people claiming asylum or those with refugee status? This bespoke course has been created to cover essential safeguarding elements and provide an opportunity to look at specific types of risk and harm. This will include varied case studies, helping to ensure you're prepared to offer an informed and pragmatic approach to safeguarding and improving your engagement with refugees.
You will gain knowledge of the asylum system in the UK and explore what to expect, including a chance to reflect on best practice with learners from other organisations. Good safeguarding practice must be alert to the ways bias and discrimination can affect people we work with; we will take time to cover inclusive practice, specifically with refugees in mind.
