In today’s world marked by divisions, siloed thinking and hostile environment, it is imperative to build creative and resilient partnerships with young refugees and migrants to amplify their voices and create a community where newcomers feel supported.

The event brings together a diverse range of faith and civil society groups, refugee and migrant organisations, policymakers, academic researchers, students and sanctuary seekers, interested in collaborative and inclusive approaches to wellbeing, social justice, and resilience. Through shared stories of successful interventions and best practices, case studies and networking, it offers a strategic platform to challenge existing barriers and explore innovative and successful interventions to foster positive change.

The panel will explore successful interventions and creative practices of working together with young refugees and migrants to  overcome adversity, improve wellbeing and foster inclusion. 

Followed by small group discussions:

• What motivates you most when working with young refugees and migrants? 
• If you could resolve one challenge to develop a collaborative project - what would it be and why?

5.15-5.45    Refreshments and informal conversations

5.45-6.45    Collaborative approaches to building solidarity and self-empowerment

The session will feature innovative case studies and stories from young newcomers and organisations engaged in developing activities and creating spaces of solidarity and belonging.
