HURRIYAH 2.0 :: BRUM ALT PRIDE FINALE

Last May, we refused to celebrate pinkwashing.

While corporate Pride wrapped itself in rainbow flags beside sponsors complicit in genocide, we gathered to create our own Alt Pride events; a grassroots collective and radical pride that remembered Palestine, a Pride that is genocide free, that acknowledged that queerness is subversive and not domesticated and that it cannot be a celebration of liberation until everyone is free.

This year, we return with HURRIYAH 2.0 to once again centre Queer SWANA (+beyond) Pride in love, in rage and in community.

The evening will once again be a shorts film programme followed by a night of Queer SWANA joy through music by our beloved friends, Bledi Party and drag performances. PLUS we will also be showcasing and celebrating all the people who made Alt Pride Brum bigger than last year!

We have tiered ticketing and every ticket sale will help us make this event even better than last year! (especially as we aren't funded and will need your support!) Any 'profit' made will be donated to Queer causes both locally and in the SWANA region.
